Heya Scouts
It’s been a while since we did something at the coppice so this is the week for some archery and cooking.
Time – 7-9
You will need….
Outdoor clothing
Necker
Your prep bag (see below for more info)
See you there !
PREP BAG
A big part of scouting is to Be Prepared!
We expect each scout to manage and carry their own prep bag, this will support badge work and challenges set on scout nights.
Contents can include …
Hat
Rubbish bag
Torch
Spoon
Fork
Butter knife
Plate
Cup
Bottle of water
Some string
First aid bits
Sun cream
Bug spray
Contact info and emergency info
Please note that if you do not have everything, it’s ok and if you think you need to bring other bits then please do.
BE PREPARED
WARNING
Please note that mobile phones should be kept away and not on display, these are a distraction and should not be out.
More importantly, no scout should be bringing any type of knife, pocket tool or blade. I understand that we are outdoors and may need to chop and cut things, but the leaders need to manage this as per risk assessment.
Any penknives or sharps will be removed and your position in scouting may be stopped.
Please also note that if your OSM profile has not been updated then you will not be able to attend.
Thanks again
The 30th crew
P.s young leaders!
Ethan, see you there with the others, and don’t forget your own prep bags as you may have a secret young leader challenge.
Young leaders also bring a potatoe peeler and some matches – if you have a ferro rod bring that too oh and a tea spoon

I believe the next session is held for the other half of the group that is moving up – it’s great to hear he enjoyed it but he may need to wait a little longer.
