As we know the summer camp is coming up soon !

30th Scouts, 2017 summer camp

Total cost £70 

When – Monday 31st July – Saturday 5th August

Where – 30th Bournemouth’s boat hut, Iford playing fields, Southbourne

 

Other info – Staying throughout the camp with the scouts; Patricia kingsland (warranted leader),      

James & Toby (helpers) Other leaders will be joining us each day around their work commitments)

 Everyone will be sleeping in tents, within our locked compound.

(please let me know in advance if you want to bring your own tent)

Separate areas for boys/girls.

The usual male/female portaloos will be available

 The scouts will mainly be cooking for themselves, most activities throughout the camp are water based and gauranteed fun! 

Please complete the contact information form and hand in asap along with 35 pounds non refundable deposit.

 

Suggested Kit list;

ARRIVE WEARING YOUR YELLOW KNECKERCHIEF – NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED

Plenty of changes of warm clothes – sweaters, jumpers, sweatshirts, T-shirts/shirts similar. Trousers/shorts. Underclothes. Nightwear. Socks. Warm Kagool / waterproof jacket. Old Shoes/trainers. sleeping bag, roll mat or air bed, pillow. Personal medication, Wash kit, min 3 towels. Torch & spare batteries, Plate/Mug/Bowl/Cutlery, water bottle, 3 old Tea Towels. Anti-mosquito spray & sun cream, peaked cap

 Also the usual water equipment;

Swim suit, Rash Vest, Wetsuit, Wet boots (or old trainers), Water/wind proof jacket. As you know, some windproofs and wetsuits are available if required.

 

Do not bring;

 

Mobile phones, ipods / MP3 players, Ghetto Blasters / HiFis, DVD players, anything of any value or which would cause regret if lost or damaged. If brought, please ensure your mobile phone is left out of sight! Leaders and the Scout Association cannot accept any responsibility for these.
