Please find below the information on the planned camp at Hengistbury Head Outdoor Centre between Friday 2 and Sunday 4 June 2017. We will be staying in tents but will use training centre on site facilities. The programme (timings will be subject to change, depending on tides) will provide Scouts and Explorers with as much opportunity as possible to gain RYA sailing awards under RYA instructors.

Parental support in transporting (both ways) setting up & striking the camp and packing away will be required and is appreciated. If you are a Scout Association DBS cleared adult and are able to assist with the camp at different times, please indicate on the booking form if you are able to do this.

 

IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION

1. The cost of this camp will be £70 based on a maximum of 36 Scouts and includes accommodation, food, Hengistbury facilities, instructors and use of boats.
2. The cost for leaders will be £10 to cover food.
3. Bookings are on a first come first served basis. To secure a place, please return the attached form, completed and signed with a cheque made payable to Dorset County Scouts for the full amount to:

Booking forms must be received by 30 April 2017 at the latest. Places for candidates whose forms are received later cannot be guaranteed.  If you cancel after making a booking, a refund can only be made if your booked place is taken up by a replacement person (from within the Scout Association).

Note: All activities to be run in accordance with the Scout Association’s safety rules. No responsibility for the personal equipment/clothing and effects can be accepted by the organizers and the Scout Association does not provide automatic insurance cover in respect of such items.
