NEW SCOUTS – we get asked a lot about new scouts starting and at this time we are putting new recruits on pause due to high numbers and the young people recognising that large numbers can effect their learning. If you have friends who want to join, please keep an eye on the blog as things may change as we move forward.
LEADERS – we are always keen to have more leaders, please ask your friends and families if they would be interested and get in touch ASAP, we will soon be having a parent rota for all those that are interested in supporting. The more the merrier!
CUCUMBER CHALLENGE – thank you for providing a cucumber this week, unfortunately we ran out of time for the eating comp (will do again soon). In the mean time we would love for you to take part in the cucumber chop challenge.
This is a part of your knife skills badge, take your cucumber (with support from an adult)
Measure 15cm by of cucumber
Using an appropriate knife (with parent/carer support) see how many slices you can get. The finer the chops the better!
Lay out your slices and take a photo and print if possible.
All scouts get points for their patrol for trying and the patrol with the most slices gets some bonus points.
That’s all for now.
Thanks again and see you soon.
