Morning Scouts!
This week we are in the hall and doing something never done before!
You will need to bring….
– Full uniform with patrol badges removed ready to hand in. (We are having a patrol shake up)
– 50p tuck
– Your Scout bug out bag (as discussed last week, see below)
SCOUT BUG OUT BAG
A few scouts communicated the benefits of having a “Scout Bag” ready and prepped at home, containing all the necessary items for an evening.
We feel that this is a very good idea and will ensure that scouts are supported to take ownership of their own gear.
We would like to push this idea forward and see how it goes.
Ideally the bag would contain the following.
A named backpack
- Waterproofs
- Torch
- Tuck money
- Neckerchief
- Jumper
- Cup
- Small bottle of water
- Knife fork spoon
- Gloves and hat, spare socks
- Snack
The scouts would also like to have surprise kit inspections to earn points for their patrol.

Hiya – I think Wendy needed to know when JJ started Beavers for his ‘years in’ badges.
He started Beavers in Sept 2013 & went right through beavers & cubs without a break so has been in Scouting for 6 years this Sept just gone. Cheers Jo Dixon.
