Hello all
A note for all non sailing camp attendees. Due to the planned camp we will not be having a usual Friday night meeting.

SAILING CAMP INFO
Basic program (dictated by the tide times!);
Friday; Sailing asap until 7pm
de-rig boats, supper
Saturday; breakfast, land-based theory, lunch
rig boats, sailing from 1pm til 4.30pm, refreshment break
sailing from 5pm til 8pm, supper
Sunday; breakfast, rafting, lunch
sailing from 1pm til 4pm. de-rig boats
parents collect 5pm
(there is a plan “B” in case of very bad weather!)
(ps there will be plenty to eat during the weekend, but its advisable to eat before you arrive on Friday)
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE NOTE;
You can only park your car on the right hand side, on the gravel, inside the gate, we absolutely must notblock the turning access for the land train
If possible, lift sharing amongst the parents would be most appreciated. We have given our word that we will all co-operate (rather than have to carry bags from the council’s public car park)
The sooner you arrive on Friday, the more sailing we will have. It will be a good idea to arrive in your sailing gear
The Scouts are sleeping in one of the main classrooms, the leaders will be camping outside (close by in case of emergency)
If you already have a log book, please remember to bring it along. New sailors will need to purchase one at £5.50 from the centre during the weekend. The cost of any certificates that you are awarded will be paid out of troop funds

Parents and carers
Please please please use this blog wisely, we have had a few scouts attend without the recommended items to bring with them, this makes it difficult to support activities and also reduces the likelihood of the young person being able to take part in the activities that we arrange.
Many thanks
Have a good week
