Dear parents and carers
We have been informed that some scouts are bringing penknives to scouts and handing them about for others to see.
We believe that a penknife is a valuable tool for multiple uses in scouting but unfortunately without the correct knife and axe badge being earnt. we forbid that these items are brought into any scouting activity.
We are all aware of the risks involved especially if a sharp implement is in the hands of a unskilled scout.
Please can all scout owners be mindful of this in the future.
